Thank you for sharing these thoughts Ellen. The phrase “collective liberation” was new to me although the basic concepts are not. That humans are stewards of the earth and do not sit atop the ladder of beings is a belief I hold dear. I was struck by your assertion (reminder) that we are all inherently worthy no matter what we believe, as this has been particularly challenging for me when I think of those who I perceive to be
This is really challenging for me too. I have to keep taking deep breaths as I feel my anger rising that, first, that anger is completely justified and expected when witnessing atrocities. And it is needed and required to motivate us into action. And secondly, as I honor my anger and rage, I have to hold it with love, too. Love for the oppressed and, with more difficulty, love for the oppressor. Because we all hold both within each of us. And if we continue to shame and inflict hate on those we name as oppressors, we are perpetrating the same energy as what they are using to justify their atrocities. I really think this moment is asking us to learn how to hold ourselves, all of us, accountable. And part of that is recognizing the divine essence in all of us too. That no matter where we sit on issues, we hold the belief that we each can heal. We each have the ability to choose love over our fears.

YES!! Always speaking what needs to be said right on time!! Thank you, Ellen.
Thank you Jesse! Grateful that this resonates. I think it’s always easier said than done. But naming always comes before the consciousness.
